Joel...these are just breath-taking! We have both trees....but ours don't bloom until the 3rd week of May! A few years ago, when our daughter got married, we had the reception in our yard. The Tree was in PERFECT BLOOM for wedding pictures of them! Since then, the tree has bloomed on their anniversary every year except for one year! And the tree had millions of blossoms the year of their wedding! We thanked the Lord for such a gift! Thank you for this gift of photos of the Apple Blossoms, sparking a precious memory!

My yard smells real nice right now too. I don't have much of a sense of smell so it must be pretty a strong smell. My lilacs are starting to bloom too. I love the smell of lilacs.

They are flowering crab apple trees. The apples are only the size of a blue berry and the birds love them in the fall and winter. If there are any left by spring, the robins love them when they first come back. Around here the robins return toward the end of February and sometimes there is still snow on the ground. One year I must have had nearly 100 robins in my yard. I never saw so many.

The red tree I got at Walmart one year for half price because it was the end of the season. I'm sure it had a name but I don't remember what it was. The white tree was given to my daughter, LeAnne, at school on Earth Day when she was in the third grade. It was just a bare root stick and all she was told was that it was a flowering crab.
