A father promised to buy his son a car if he got straight ""A's", read his Bible every day and cut his long hair. At the end of the term he had maintained straight "A"s, read his Bible every day but his hair was still long. In review the father questioned the son about the issue of long hair, to which the son said that most all of the men in the Bible wore long hair. The father replied "and they walked everywhere they went."
