Surely this one would qualify :-)

I found how to delete my own reply, but is a "new topic" not expungable?

I also found the answer to my original question, wanted to delete the "new topic" post containing the original question, but have not found the way to do so.

So, I clicked "edit" and even changed the topic title, but now I have what you see here, because the software wouldn't let me completely erase the post in the "edit" sequence either

Joe, the way the software works is that people can, for a day I think, modify, delete, etc. posts that are responses. However, the first post in a thread cannot be deleted. I am not sure as to the rationale behind it, but that is how it works.

Joe! Since it said "Geneaology Symposium," when I quickly browsed down the page, I wondered why on earth those "CUBS" of yours would be on a geneaology board. "Strange!" I tho't. Then I slowed down enough to see that, in spite of the heading, you do have various sub-headings, including "sports." Tho't for a minute there you were dreaming of being related to your "Cubs." ha! ;)

How about we give you the first annual NazNet Perseverance Award, Joe!? Yes, it takes that to hang with those Cubbies sometimes, huh? Me? I felt badly, watching the Lakers and Suns ... Suns were ahead most of the way, then Lakers tied it at the end, and then it looked like Suns were going to survive the overtime, and then ........................ oh, well ....................
