Welcome to the Breast Cancer 3-Day - 3-Day 2006 (http://www.the3day.org/site/pp.asp?c=ciKTLcPRLvF&b=297924)

I'm seriously considering participating in this walk in Phoenix in November.

I have a couple of questions. I'm not worried about the walking itself, that is a piece of cake -- not to mention I have 6 months of training left to go.

My concern is that I have to raise $2200.00 in donations before I can participate.

Now, I am not a fund raiser. But I CAN be if I get some good ideas. Besides writing letters to everyone I know in the entire world, what other suggestions would you have for fund raisers that can be done by one individual person? Any ideas?

I'm seriously considering this, but I have to get on the stick about it if I'm going to do it.

So, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated......

uh Dana...don't you work for RICH DOCTORS.................???? I'd start there. What about a garage sale? Have friends/family donate their old stuff to your cause. The paper might even advertise it for free if you tell them what you are doing.

Oh yes, I have many rich doctor friends!! LOL And two in my own family -- believe me, they are at the top of my list!! HA HA HA

And be prepared -- if you're on NazNet and I have your snail mail address, you'll be getting a fund raiser letter, too!! FOREWARNED IS FOREARMED or something like that. And if anyone wants to email me your snail mail address, well, I will just add you to my list!! HA HA

I'm thinking bake sales, yard sales, things like that -- but I'm sure there are some other sure-fire methods of fund raising.....keep the ideas coming!
