beautiful....beautiful Thanks.
I'm really enjoying the blooms. The scenery continually changes.
My flower beds are filled mostly with perennials, so they multiply, returning each year. I never know exactly what to expect.

hey Cecil have you ever planted honeysuckle?

You don't plant honeysuckle.
It just happens.
I have been digging out thousands (at least) of wild honeysuckle vines because they have become so invasive.
And I have only just begun to dig.

I do have some coral honesuckle (red) that isn't quite as invasive.

I like the great smell of honeysuckle in bloom, but since most of the vines I have are in the shade, they don't bloom much.

Hey, what do you mean you just dont plant honeysuckle? I have two or three plants here from Jackson Perkins, why would they send them if i cant plant them? Have i been taken? How do you get honeysuckle then? And all the pics I have seen have had good size blossoms on them, red, yellow and much more color.
I think we are talking about 2 different plants. This one doesnt have vines all over.

What I mean is that if you have the "wild" honeysuckle variety like we do here in a semi-rural setting, it spreads by runners, as well as by seeds.
So, I have more honeysuckle than I can control. I think that I have dug up the roots, and behold! another sprig pops up almost overnight.
It will spread 20 to 30 feet in one year. If it is near a tree, it may grow all the way to the top of the tree.
I imagine that you have some hybrid variety that does not spread like the wild variety. The wild type has white and/or yelllow blooms that are very fragrant.

Go ahead and plant it, but if it is invasive, don't say I didn't warn you.
