I'm putting together a powerpoint that has 166 slides on it. I want to add music and probably more than one file of music. I need step by step instructions if anyone has time to send them to me.
I'd greatly appreciate it!!!!!

Beth,
I've never done this, but I was looking around and after you open your ppt, if you go to "Insert" then "movies and sounds" and then you can click on "sound from file" and import a sound file or click on "Play CD Audio Track". I don't know if this will help get you started or not, but I would try and see if this works?.?

I've inserted movies this way and it works well. I think it will work the same for sounds.
My 16 yr old said that she looked it up using microsoft help (she was inserting music for a mother's day card) and it worked.
It appears that you can't play the same song over the whole length of the powerpoint - you would need to insert a song for each slide. I think if you want to have a single sound clip over multiple scenes, you should be able to insert all the objects on one slide and then use the animation settings to time everything (you can have each object fade as it goes on to the next scene).
For large sound files you will need to insert a link and be sure that the sound files are copied with the ppt file. As I was just experimenting I also found that not all sound files can be inserted (I think this is partly a legal issue). You can record your own sound (probably mp3 would work best)
The help said that you can play a format that is not listed by making a hyperlink to it. Or you can link to a track on a CD.
