I just discovered that when you link to a thread here on NazNet, the part after the number doesn't matter at all. In fact, you can change it to whatever you want, and the link still works.

I'll come back in a second to illustrate this...

I think it's part of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). It makes Google search results including threads more information rich.
