We were at a local BBQ place having a bit of 'fine dining' the other evening. They had some music playing befitting the occasion. One of the songs they sang was the "Hadacol Stomp". I learned later there are also "Hadacol Boogie" and "Hadacol Bounce". Brought back lots of memories.

Nope, no "Hadacol" memories ... never heard of it. S'pose that it might be one of those melodies we've heard, would recognize as such, but never knew its name? Perhaps we can find a MIDI/mp3 of it to listen to on-line, no? ;)

Gina,
Evidently you are too young to know what
Hadacol was.
It was a cure all for any and everything that ailed you,
it was about 95 proof, and was sold in the Five & Dime stores.

This is so funny. Just a few days ago, Warren made some comment in staff meeting about Hadacol. He and I were the only ones who knew what it was. Warren says to call Holland Lewis if you want to hear the Hadacol stomp. Tell him where you got the information.

This was an interesting, albeit lengthy, link. 'Sounds like the guy was quite a character that put this Hadacol together. :basic05
