While working in MS Word, suddenly I accidentally hit something, but I don't know what to do it in reverse. Now, everyplace there's a blank line there is a paragraph symbol, and in every space between words, there is a period.

I've looked in formatting, somewhere where I found "symbols," in "help" trying various things ... and cannot find where to either add or subtract these symbols! Anyone using word enough to find this gizmo so I can undo them?

Thanks!

Gina,

In Word, go to view, then toolbars and then make sure you have the "standard" one on. There should be a button called show/hide (if you don't see it you can add it - arrow on the right of the task bar, push it, and add or remove buttons), if you push that your period and paragraph symbols should disappear.......

Patricia :)

Oh, my goodness! So simple, if I'd only had that other toolbar on, along with the text one I had/have on ... then that paragraph symbol would have been very apparent. DUH! You see, I had too many toolbars on, so bleeped several, so as to not have the page half-filled with toolbars. Guess I deleted one too many.

Thanks much! [boy, did I waste a whole lot of time looking around before asking; should've asked right away, huh?]
