Last Sunday, I preached at a Nazarene church in Zambia. To reach it, we followed a jeep trail about 5 miles off the highway. Our transportation was the only vehicle there. Everyone except our group walked to church.

My sermon outline was:
Zambia is a beautiful place to live
Washington State is great too.
Jesus is preparing an even better place for us.
I hope to see you there.

The man standing beside me is the Assistant Regional Director for the Church of the Nazarene in that area. He was translating my sermon from English to "Bimba."

At one point in the service, the children came and stood directly in front of us. Their song was in English and asked us to give to their school. In the picture of the children, look in their eyes. Could you resist?

Florence Littauer would definitely love your great outline since she teaches that simple outlines are the most powerful of all. You don't have past in there but certainly do have present and future with hope included.

The children's eyes are memorable and this isn't the first such school, church, or choir to which you have contributed. Trust they know how much you appreciate receiving a 'thank you' note after the deed. :)

Thanks much for sharing and glad you had a great trip!
