A long time naznetter who has been unable to make the transition to the new software was encountered today in Schenectady, NY. Lori Kitchen who was on-the-scene, reported that a black sedan with two strangers drove up to her church and interrupted her shrub-trimming. They did not offer to help. Sporting "roadtrip 2006" tee-shirts, they have apparently spent large amounts of time drifting from their Arizona home and are now wandering Interstate 90. Sometime earlier this week they visited the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, NY. However, they apparently did not have the time to visit the more culturally important places such as the James Fennimore Cooper homestead, the farmers museum or even the capital of the state of NY.

When questioned about her long absence from Naznet, the stranger only admitted to confusion and disillusionment over the new software. Upon further questioning, she admitted to constant lurking and that she has conspired with actual registrants to discuss questionable topics such as flying grapefruit and sources of mighty rushing winds.

The strangers are most likely trying to find the Naznet owner. Because they are no longer involved they have most likely missed the news that Dave is no longer the ENC president and lives full-time at the other end of I-90.

If you see them in their travels, be careful as they may have grapefruit or vegamite in their hand, poised for a surprise attack. But they still seem nazarene-friendly so please invite them back.

Doug

ps. all TIC, of course, but completely surprised by this seemingly random Naznet meeting today -

Actually, I didn't get to meet her. Lori who is also a constant lurker, talked quite a bit to her. The Karr's were around to visit an old friend and Lori happened to be at the church at the time. So it was really a "lurker" meeting, thus no pictures were taken to preserve their anonymity ;).

Troy, the collar city, the birthplace of Uncle Sam (and his burial plot is there as well). Troy is on the other side of the hudson river.

Schenectady, NY, the electric city, home (but no longer corporate headquarters) of General Electric, the largest corporation in the world. Thomas Edison had his labs there. The first TV station, (I believe also, the first radio station).

Albany, NY, the capital of the NY, also one of the first areas settled by Europeans on the North American continent.

Saratoga Springs, NY, home of FunnyCide and during the month of august home of 1 million horse racing fans. Also, the original home of Eastern Nazarene College.
