Naznetters Help Soldiers in Iraq

A couple of months ago I mentioned that my son Stephen(in the Army in Iraq) mentioned that his best friend, Jason, was not getting any mail. I posted about it and ask people to send Jason cards.

Jason has received cards, packages and letter. But Stephen has also received these things from NazNetters.

Today Jason received a package from "A VietNam Vet" in Marion, Ohio. That had to have started with Marg Webb who has sent Jason things.

THANKS, MARG!!!

In the package was an Ohio State hat. Since Jason is from Texas and not an Ohio State fan, he gave it to Stephen(John and I were born and raised in Ohio). Stephen was shocked to see that the bill of the hat was autographed by Archie Griffin, two time Heissman Trophy winner as a running back. What a treasure! Stephen is thrilled!!!!!!!!!

And, today, Stephen received a letter from a Susan in Atlanta, GA. He said it was a really nice letter and she said she was going to send him a box next month.

That had to start with MaryBeth Latham.

In a few short weeks, perhaps NazNetters can add my son in law to that card list. Jed leaves for 3 months of intense training next weekend.
Being so far from home, from family and the normal routine of life can be a scary thing for our soldiers. But we CAN make a difference in prayer and sending encouragement.
