Gmail is adding an image copy and paste function. This article says it's in place on Chrome and I just tested it on Firefox and it worked for me.

If you want to send a picture to someone, just copy the image to your clipboard, and then, paste it right into the message.

Wow, that's nice! Can't do that in yahoo yet, after all these years. :(

HalleluJAH! Should be in bed, but decided to check Gmail. Glad I did, so I could get something started I did not even know was available. When first having Gmail for awhile, I was little by little trying to send everything from Yahoo over to Gmail. That's one slow process when you do it manually, so gave it up.

NOW, Gmail says it can import not only the contacts [did that quite awhile ago], but the MAIL itself! Yeeeeeeaaa! Once I see that that's taken care of, maybe I can close out my yahoo box, after all ... using Gmail where we can copy/paste pics ... soooo much easier than only being able to do "attachments" over in Yahoo. Maybe keep it for "junk mail" and try to not let Gmail get bogged down w/that sort of "stuff."

Importing mail can take up to a couple of days it says. But who cares? And then it says it will import mail from there, too, for the next 30 days, giving you time to get things updated that you receive w/your correct new addy. Who'd have ever tho't I might actually leave yahoo? [we'll see ;)]

I've been using Thunderbird for about 8 years and rarely ever use the web interface. I have been able to paste images into Thunderbird for years so no big deal IMO.

Oh, really? Didn't know that. Lost Thunderbird in a crash, so have to start that all over. This will be the 3rd time of starting T'bird (previous crash, too), and if I recall, there are some things that take awhile to tweak just right ... either I'm not reading instructions right, or they're a bit vague. ;)

Wish gmail had a way to change your address. I guess the only way is to quit and start all over.

I thought I would try Thunderbird and it has downloaded over 2000 emails into my in box going back to 2008, ones I had deleted. Did it pick up old addresses? How do I make sure it only pulls in my gmail address?

It also has a place where you can pull mail into Gmail from various places. I've only tried it from Yahoo ... in the works now. May have to transfer some manually, it seems, since it's been long enough that it's stopped w/o getting it all that ... I'm not sure what it's going to do.

Tho't re starting it again, but then I read somewhere that it may just pick up things already on Gmail, too, if you try to pick up those things missed by restarting. So, one can have a lot of duplicates, too, it seems. Ho-hum. Even computers aren't perfect! ;)
