We are going to go visit the Tennessee District campmeeting Thursday and Friday.

Any of you Naznetters in that area going to be there? I know Anne and Duane Hood will be.

If you enjoy a good ole fashion camp meeting, you will enjoy the Tenn. camp.

A very nice camp grounds.

The weather changes every hour, so go prepared for all types of weather, (hot, cold ,wet, dry).

Enjoy yourself and report back only if you like it.

Gerald,

Our D.S., Jack Eyestone, has preached two campmeetings there. He filled us in yesterday about what to expect....open air tabernacle. We are staying at a motel in Dickson, so that will help. If it gets too hot I will let John go to the services and I will read or watch TV. LOL

Forgot to mention the food is very good in the cafeteria, and the snack bar has very good ice cream

I heard your D. S. at the camp, very impressive speaker.

We had a great time at Tennessee campmeeting. The singing and preaching were great---and so was the weather.
We enjoyed being with John and Barb Bouldrey.
Our lodge there is just like a motel minus a TV and telephone.
Saturday will be family day. Dr. Charles Johnson from Miridian, Mississippi and
Talmadge Johnson are the speakers--and I heard that they are not only brothers, but twins. The last service is at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Marvin Jones is in charge of the week end music. Markus Woodward was there Sun.-Thursday. We enjoyed him so much. He is a great musician, clown and entertainer.
We saw the Spears while we were there, but only talked with his wife.

Anne is joking about Talmadge and Charles being twins and brothers. For those of you who do not know, Charles Johnson is a black man. They had a lot of fun joking about their kinship.

What a very lovely campgrounds with an old-fashioned, open-air tabernacle. It was perfect weather with the wonderful breeze blowing in that campgrounds nestled in a valley in the hills of Tennessee.

What a refreshing time for John and me. We needed it.

Thought for a minute that Anne was confused. Having grown up on the same district with Talmadge and Karen, I knew that they were the only children of Rev. W.T. and Helen Johnson. It surely would have been a huge shock if they had known that Talmadge had a twin, especially a black one. :)

Glad you had a good time!

Truthfully, I was just telling you what Charles Johnson said. ha When we were on the Mississippi district, they were cousins, but somehow, it has involved into twins, now. Brother Talmadge Johnson calls my Johnson nieces and nephews "Cuz."
