I added more than 200 more photos to the Africa album. I have not had time to do captions for all of them, but you can see them anyway. I will add captions as I have time.

.. when and where is " our " next trip? I am willing to take a virtual journey when you get back . The photos were great . Amazing how high those tribal dancers went with what seemed like very little effort . And the children were so sweet . Loved the animal and bird pictures , too. A most enjoyable " trip" .
Thanks for taking me along .

Thanks, for the photos. On Pentecost Sunday I need to confess coveteous feelings. That must have been one awesome trip. I like your frequent attire.

Your photos of the animals is great. you really made good use of the
new telephoto lens. Did you use a tripod when using this lens?
I really enjoyed viewing the photos of the elephants

I left my new telephoto lense behind. After using it some in Washington, I have concluded that I have to use a tripod. I didn't think a tripod would be practical in Africa, so I left the 500mm lense at home.
If I go back, I will make a tripod mount to attach to the land rover and will take the telephoto lense.
Most of the pictures I took in Africa were taken with the 100 -- 300mm zoom lense.

The next "trip" will probably be back to the great Northwest. I usually camp on the Pacific Coast for my first camp out of the year. I am hoping to get a couple of days off later this week to make my first camping trip of the year.
Eariler this week, when I checked on the camp sites on Mt. Rainier, I learned that they still have 8 feet of snow. It will probably be well into July before I can do a camping trip there.
Linda and I didn't take many pictures this week, but we have had a great time in New York City. New York is a special place.

Looks like a place to leave your heart.
We had planned a Work and Witness trip some years ago, I became sick and we didn't get to go. Thanks for taking me there.
Loved all of our Christian brothers and sisters.
The Giraffes were awesome.

Dave,
In addition to a window mount for your camera I'd consider taking along a monopod. It's amazing how steady you can be using only the one leg of a monopod and good technique.
