... that they were going to dump tons of stuff out of there that I tho't was safe, because I'd kept going into there and cleaning things out. It would get about 18 or so, 7 MB below its 25 MB limit, and I'd clean it out.

Apparently [since spam suddenly had a rather higher number than usual], something pushed it over the top. So, I go there today and find 2.1 MB there, so 16+ MB ... just gone! NOT cool. Feel they could at least, seeing as they should be able to tell how often someone comes there [even if not everyday, about every other] that they'll be back to empty things *JUST* as before during the last 2-3 years, however long we've known re NAZmail.

'Feel that was not at all polite ... just as impolite as when I wrote to them more than once asking *how* one gets their mail to come into the top of the inbox rather than strewn throughout several pages, they never answered. Hey, I'd looked for "HELP" on their site, didn't find it ... let them know I also looked for help, before writing ...............

Very impolite ... especially to not warn someone that if something is not dumped because SPAM pushed it over it's 25 MB limit suddenly ... to not let someone come in, clean out garbage, so the GOOD stuff will be saved!!

DRATS! on NAZmail ... it is not SAFE !!!!! 'Got enough to handle with things at the house here without losing some things I tho't were in safe keeping ..................

I'll forward what's left to somewhere else, and CLOSE it! BUMMER!! I hope they have a forwarding device for those [like the church emails] who have that as an address, so I CAN get them elsewhere. Don't think they do, tho'. Have to get back there now, I guess, and hope they DO!!

EDIT - went back over there, opened up the "do whatever with this" list, and suddenly saw, "Export to Zip." HOW long has that been there? Don't recall ever seeing it before; tho't I was going to have to ship them one-by-one-by-one as I've done before over to Yahoo [mailing them to myself]. 'Seems it can't be too old. NOW that it is there, it would be even EASIER for them to have it set up for a form letter to be sent to any automatically when it hits the 25MB limit ... a decent warning that says there is this DOWNLOAD ZIP option, so if any wants to save things before they get dumped in such-&-such a time [also set automatically], say how-many days, the mail CAN be saved via this option.

IN FACT, that is another thing I'd asked them about: "IS there anyway -- as I'd seen elsewhere -- to get mail out of NAZMAIL other than one-by-one-by-one?" They answered in the negative. NOW it looks like they remedied it, but also have it set up to AUTOMATICALLY DUMP, rather than AUTOMATICALLY be polite & WARN [hey, it's not our fault, it's the SPAMMERS!! that we kept clearing out of there!]. Makes me even a mite more upset that there's this option FINALLY, whereby they could get those over 25 dumped out REALLY QUICK, while one could SAVE their MAIL.

THIS is as bad as when AZTEC automatically dumped things after getting to 2MB in their saved mail & saved files ... down to zero MB! People sometimes couldn't understand when I told them everything was gone ... well, it was ............ NOW, with NAZmail, it nearly was again [all but 2MB]. :( Oh, BTW, there is a "forward" in Nazmail. TURNED IT ON IMMEDIATELY!

So sorry! I haven't used Nazmail yet, just been testing it. If they had POP3 collection, I'd be more inclined to use it.

I've seen warnings like you are talking about, and they're not hard to implement. What a bummer you lost good stuff.

I use NazMail as a collection point for all my email accounts. I love the excellent spam filtering and the price is just right: free!

When I signed up I saw that there was a 25 meg. limit and that is fine with me. I also read the account setup options and set to delete spam after 2 days.

Then, I setup Outlook to use their POP3 service so I access the Nazmail account with Outlook and very seldom go to the website. I do visit it once in awhile, especially if I am looking for an email that hasn't come in. I just want to be sure that it didn't mistakenly get marked as spam. That is very rare though and I think it is an excellent service.

I also find it to be an excellent service. I've used it for a long time now. 25meg is more than enough space and if I want to save things I move them out of the e-mail folders. The spam filtering is what I appreciate so much.

Problems are pretty non-existant.

I also use Nazmail as my email collection point. I have three different email accounts. All of them forward to Nazmail.

I especailly like that I can access it by web when I am traveling. I can go to an internet cafe and check my email even when I can't connect with my lap top.

Stuart Washington is providing a great service for Nazarenes. If you get a chance, tell him thanks.

Once upon a time I did, but when I had questions, absolutely no one answered. Then, too, not warning someone ... don't recall, either, their sending a mass email to everyone at Nazmail telling them that now they could download mail several at a time [just needed to be checked off I found, way too late, after most of it was gone]. That is specifically one thing I'd asked about, too, long ago, other than my questions re functions/options that I didn't find answers to in a help section.

As for Yahoo, had trouble with text only, b/c of their secure thing text-only wouldn't work well with. But now, with their "bulk" folder, it works the same way, tho' some things slip through there, too, into "Inbox."

But, it's just the [I]noncommunication over there that really has bugged me; tho' I tried to keep it cleaned out so it didn't go over 25 [usually kept it between 15-20], they DUMP it without warning ... no communication again.

So, tho' I cannot do anything about their way of acting, so I'll shut up now, I did feel it might be kind to warn some others before their Nazmail box ended up nearly empty, too! Now they're warned, they can perhaps move/send it to somewhere else, too. NOW, if they want to stay there, anyway, they're alerted to the fact that you can finally download something from Nazmail [as I know one could not do for "eons" ... until this "DL to zip" button suddenly appeared], so they can do that frequently [rather than sending to Yahoo first, THEN DL'ing as I did in the past] en masse ... now that they're forewarned. I was never forewarned that, "Hey! looks like some of your spam (NO, SCOTT, I didn't know about the option where I could tell it to keep dumping spam out! :() overran your box; clean out by 2-3-whatever days, or it will be deleted.

They just do NOT COMMUNICATE well ..................................... It's just there, and you'd better figure out every little jot & iota or whatever, or you could be in trouble. 'Just don't appreciate one-sided communication, when questions don't get answered.

OK, I'm done ........................ ;)
