Just plain pooped. For some reason the last 3 nights have been extremely short since I have awakened at about 3:30AM, unable to get back to sleep. Anyway, have taken today as a day here in my office at home to get caught up on some organizational issues. The ambiance here in my office is restful, relaxing.

The window in my office faces the back yard. There is a strip of grass about 20 feet across, a section with shrubs/trees, chain link fence, 40 feet of grass and then the back side of the property that drops abruptly down to a creek. Anyway, I have placed a bird feeder on a low branch of a tree just across the backyard grass.

The birds and squirrels are creating somewhat of a traffic jam...have several kinds of birds that visit, but have temporarily lost my bird book, so don't know the exact species. We do have Camp Jays and Sutter Jays that visit. They add magnificent color.

Just talked to my secretary. She said they've had deer, raccoon and squirrels in their backyard in town. (Longview)

Man, the stock market is sure taking a beating today!

By the way, great Pentecost Sunday day at church yesterday.

We've been making some outstanding improvements at the church. Remodeled the foyer most recently. Made Starbucks Coffee and muffins available yesterday in a portion of that remodeled area.

Typo in our yesterday's bulletin, "Mrs. Jones is recovering from two surgeries at home." Ouch!

Was someone practicing medicine without a license that they did this surgery at home, rather than at some hospital? 'Just couldn't resist! :p
