I run Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 every single day and it is solid and works fine.

Outlook, while it can be purchased as a stand alone program, is part of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Nelson, are you talking about Outlook, or about Outlook Express? (two different programs!)

I think I am getting the two confused. I am looking for express and there isn't any.

Good catch Hans!

According to at least 1 microsoft link, outlook express is dead in Windows 7 and replaced by Windows Live Mail. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/download-outlook-express

As Noted by others Windows Live Mail is the new free email client offered by MS. I installed it on my mothers computer. The whole windows live essentials suite is a free download from MS. I wonder if this new outside of Windows offering option is Microsoft covering themselves as much as possible from future anti trust claims. That is MS isn't forcing/pushing their own email client with windows. Its now a choice.

I REALLY meant Outlook Express - which we lost with Windows 7...and neither my bride nor I have been happy with Windows Live Mail nor Mozilla Thunderbird. That's why I was hoping Outlook Express was now avail.

Ratz and double ratz.

Thanx one and all

I'd love it to come back, too. My online classes work better with outlook express [which I have on my net book]. So for regular email I use windows live and for my class I get out my netbook and use outlook.
