getting together with 3 young men in their 30s and early 40s just to visit over our families lives and concerns about 4 times a year. We all used to attend the same church but our paths have diverged. One is pastoring on this district and is in the area for the Intermountain District Assembly at Nampa College Church, another is an accountant for a modular housing manufacturer, the other is head of computer communication for the largest school district in the state, Meridian. The preacher's older daughter was a subject of Nazarenes in the News on NCN over a year ago when she was a highly regarded and lauded page for the Idaho State Senate. One's wife had just gotten a promotion in the dispatcher unit of the Boise City Fire Department after only 3 months in the unit. We met last night after the evening assembly session at a nearby IHOP catching up with eacth others lives. When a waitress looks at me with my mature blond hair and then at the young fellows I just tell her that they are all my adopted sons and they get a chuckle out of that. They show off their little hand held electronic gadgets and I just look on in amazement wondering if I'll ever make the transition into the 21st Century.
