that's three and one in the Stanley Cup playoffs?
(sorry, I couldn't resist) I think Hockey is about to eclipse Football as the Carolina's most rabid obsession. (-:

Go Oilers! Ha! It's not over until the fat lady sings!
Personally, I would rather see my Blue Jackets playing Carolina right now, but since that can't be, I guess I'll have to settle on Edmonton (since we play them during the regular season). I think that losing Rollison (the goalie) has hurt the Oilers...but they still have Chris Pronger!

Imagine trying to be a hockey fan in Houston, TX! Not exactly the easiest thing in the world!

Yes they did. They were the team that always knocked my team out of the playoffs in the first round!
But I am not bitter about it. :basic05

Last year before the lockout it was Tampa Bay. Now it looks to be Carolina. Wow! Talk about fair-weather fans!
I think there are about four die-hard, genuine, hard-core hockey fans in North Carolina. Not Hurricane fans... HOCKEY fans. And all four of them moved to NC from somewhere else. But hey...that's three more die-hard, genuine, hard-core hockey fans than there are in Tampa.
Everybody knows that if the Stanley Cup went seven games and game seven was in Raleigh opposite a NASCAR race in Rockingham or Concord, you could buy hockey tickets for less than face value, while folks would be selling their children for a NASCAR ducat..

Why on earth would anyone be talking these days about any team except the Dallas Mavericks?

Hmmmm...Glen, what's the name of that team that has now comandingly won the last two games in the Standly Cup? You know, the one that shut-out the Carolina Hurricanes last night?
See ya Monday night at the final!
Cindi still the Blue Jacket fan, but slumming in Alberta for the finals.

Is it just me that thinks the cup would look perfectly natural with a big-block Chevy engine on one end and a driveshaft on the other? Judging by the looks of the thing, there just has to be a couple of planetary gearsets in there somewhere.
