How much salt do you use in your food? When son nigel was little, with Kidney problems we went salt free in food, its not good for kidney patients. Today we mostly salt free.
Are there benefits to salt? salt yea they linked with Kidneys stones, and ya sure dont want those.
So is solt good, or harmfull?

Salt makes food tasty and preserves food but its use should be limited . It used to be the recommended daily allowance was 2400 mg but new Canadian standards put that at 1, 500. I believe 1 tsp is 2400 mg so that's not very much .
That said , I sometimes crave salt and usually get more than I should have .

We don't salt anything, and try to avoid prepared foods that are high in salt.
