A rare occurence. Leisha is home for commencement (graduation from high school is held in the fall) so Lindsay is coming home to attend.

It is not often that I have both my daughters under the same roof.

Although Lindsay is a little ticked that when we moved into this house we didn't designate a room as "her room". She sleeps in the guest room when she comes.

And I don't know about you, but when both of my children and my husband and me are all under the same roof, I have a much more peaceful sleep. It's almost as if I can let out a big "sigh" and think -- ahhh, we're all together, and life is good.

Enjoy your girls, Barbara -- I know you will!!!

I was proud of Leisha last night. She won six awards. Three of them for highest academic in specific subjects. The other three were for recognition of specific achievements in her studies.

It was her night to shine.

Expressing joy and happiness at having my daughters does not, in anyway, imply an endorsement of the mess that is made of bedrooms/bathrooms/family room while they are home.

I could not move in the bathroom this morning what with bras hanging up to dry, towels on the floor, forty-five thousand bottles of shampoo/conditioner/shower gels etc, makeup, hair dryers.

And the bedrooms...within five minutes of their arrivals it looked like they had gone in and cast every item of clothing they own over the whole area.

Ahhh...but I do love them.

Oh Barbara you made me smile!! When Tyler comes home for weekends, I spend lots of time cleaning before he comes. Lindsey asked me why I do that -- are you trying to impress Tyler, Mom? Absolutely not. When he comes, his "stuff" gets everywhere!! I figure if the house is clean when he gets here, it will be relatively clean when he leaves and takes all of that stuff with him!! HA HA

And I try really hard to keep my mouth shut about the mess while he's here.

Of course, if you saw my house NOW, you'd think a demolition team had visited recently. Oh how I long to have drawers again. I don't ask for much. Just drawers for my UN-holy underwear!

Congratulations to your daughter! And I'm glad you have all your family home right now.

My oldest graduates this spring, and will be going to college in the fall. I'm dreading it. I can't imagine life without her around all the time. She isn't just my daughter, she is a dear friend.
