For 37 years I have had to sit in a pew and hear my husband tell his congregations things that I have done or said. Most of the time it has been something profound(Yeah, right.) Sometimes it has been things I wish he had not felt free to tell. Once in a while he will say, "I will probably get in trouble at home for saying this, but...." And he is usually telling something he knows will not offend me ever.
I have been asked to bring a Faith Promise message at Dexter, Missouri First Church on July 23rd. That very day I was asked, the Lord gave me the scripture, outline and song to use. But I asked Him to give me a few humorous illustrations or comments to add to my serious message. And He did.
After I sat here and typed up my outline, including my humorous illustrations, I started laughing out loud. All of my humorous comments and illustrations WERE TELLING ON JOHN!!!!
PAYBACK TIME, JOHNBOY!!!!
I am looking forward to delivering this message now! LOL! Only trouble is, he will not be sitting there in a pew hearing me tell on him.
