I've always had an aversion to IE. I've thought of trying Opera 'cause I like the name. But...Firefox works well for me. I wasn't so impressed with Chrome

"Mommy - Johnny called me an IE user." "Johnny, I told you to stop calling your sister names - now go to your room."

I use IE9 in windows 7 and Safari or Chrome in OSX. If I need to raise my IQ to take a test I will switch browsers beforehand. Ha ha!

Notice it said something about maybe some IE folks being too "stupid" to know how to upgrade. Well, there are other reasons, too ... maybe too "poor," rather than stupid? Even the last Firefox upgrade is only for Windows 7, not for XP. So, maybe IE's latest upgrade is for just Windows 7 and not XP, either?

Or, are they saying if you're not too "stupid," you'll find a way to not be too "poor"?

It was a hoax.

How funny! Sounded rather odd when we first heard it, but since they try to test just about anything & everything these days, fell for it. :smilies0275: :smilies0262:

Firefox & being left behind .......

Yes, I've paid my phone bill on-line "forever." Now, suddenly, AT&T site says that it only supports Firefox 4.+ and above. Well, that's the Firefox that works with Windows 7, not the old XP, for which I had to return to 3.+whatever.

Yes, it's older, but not all that old, the latest 3.+ that came out not all that long before the 4.+! Saddened ... their IT people aren't all that swift, if they delete Firefox 3.+ rather than just leaving it alone when adding 4.+ !! Dang. It did let me pay it, but not sure for how long ... or maybe, had I even tried to look up my minutes record while there paying, it wouldn't have let me into those! [maybe will take time to check that out later]

Just a thought... I setup my mom with IE6 for a while and after a month of her just casual browsing and email it was totally ridden with spyware. I removed it all and switched her over to firefox and she hasn't had an issue in the last three years. And in case you were wondering, the browser was the only thing I changed... It isn't the end-all but it certainly is a big win in my book...

Looking for browser problems, I found this one that I see was only about a week before my PC crashed (which was o/a 05dec11). Anyway, was going to ask folks if they were having weird messages pop up when trying to give "THANKS" to some post ~~ in spite of having refreshed the page a few times to make sure it was "refreshed" ~~ and then I closed the browser, reopened it & NazNet, and then it let me. So, was either (1) had to close/reopen browser, or (2) had to at least sign out/sign back in to NazNet.

Anyway, having had other weird things, not sure if it's a Firefox thing or not ... so, did anyone else have weird things happen on NazNet until closing/reopening Firefox? We'll put the note we kept receiving here, tho' the matter is now fixed (to see if anyone's seen something like this, too):
