View Full Version : "The Crystal Fountain"

So long of thirst my weary soul did languish
And naught of earth my soul could satisfy
But when to Christ I turned in bitter anguish
I found in Him the answer to my cry.

Refrain
Oh I have found it - the Crystal Fountain
Where all my life's deep needs have been supplied
So freely flowing from Calvary's mountain,
And now my soul is fully satisfied.

Verse 2
I tried the world with it's alluring pleasure
It mocked my soul, all burdened down with care.
But grace and help in blessed boundless measure
I've found in Christ, the answer to my prayer.

Verse 3
Dear fainting heart, O do not longer tarry,
Come now to Christ and drink - your soul renew.
He knows your need - the heavy load your carry.
This blessed Fount is open now for you.

Thanks, Nelson. Not meaning to "horn in" on your territory, but in my mind's eye the Crystal Fountain isn't in a city somewhere. It looks something like this (hope you don't mind):

4767

4768

4769

Hmmm...need to work on my sizing, I guess.

Thank you for those beautiful scenes, Bruce, however, I would consider those waterfalls not fountains.

But what do I know.

8-)

Further, I like to use pictures from my digital and thus far I've not found any waterfalls in this almost 100% flat section of Illinois.

Nelson,

I cheated. I didn't use pictures I took myself.

I sort of agree with you on the "waterfall v. fountain" issue, but when I did a Google image search of "Nature+Fountain", these are the best of what came up. I, too, always thought of a fountain as something that comes up out of the ground.

But, in the song it says that it flows from Calvary's mountain, so couldn't that be construed as flowing down?
