I have developed tendonitis in my wrist/thumb area (left hand). The doctor tells me that I should limit activity that causes pain. Typing causes moderate pain. :)

So, while I won't stop posting on NazNet, I will definitely limit my posting until the anti-inflammatory drugs start to kick in.

Just in case you all notice a drop off in my posts.

Blessings,
Barbara

Prayers here for the tendonitis to subside and the drugs to take effect soon.

We don't want to have you away for too long!

Try purchasing an ergonomic keyboard. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and the use of that has relieved my symptoms almost entirely.

I hope it gets better soon. (I type with two fingers.)

Anti inflammatory drug seems to making a difference. If it is still bothering me after a month she'll go with cortisone, but she would like to avoid that obviously.

The downfall of cortizone is you can only have two shots in a lifetime and then the tendons tend to disapear and pull away from the bone...

That is one reason I gave up bodybuilding. My tendons just couldn't take it anymore. I now have tendonitis, burcitis, bursa sacks in my shoulders, etc...

But as long as I stay away from the weight stacks I am just fine...

Hi Barbara
I had tendonitis years ago in my wrist after planting bulbs.
I used the little doo-hickey that makes a hole in the ground
to give each bulb its own privat dwelling place. To make the
hole properly using this garden instrument one has to give
this doo-hickey several good twists. I had to wear a wrist brace to
help stablelize my wrist. That was not a problem as the brace was
sinmple to take off and replace. The tendonitis in my rt ankle was
another story and a greater problem. This happened as a result of
driving too long, too fast on the fabulous European Autobahn.
I put the metal to the pedal in an auto where I had to stretch a bit,
for several days and Kilometers on an exciting journey across Germany,
Austria, Italy and Switzerland. The excitment of the journey was driving
at high speeds on the autobahn! Anyway..to repair and allow the
tendons in my rt ankle to rest this abused area i had to wear a cast
for about 2 months.

Have you given thought to a brace for your wrist?? I did not have to
have the steroid injection in either situation. And know that I took
ibuprofen 600mg every six hours for the inflammation for a couple of weeks

Great minds think alike sometimes Judy :-)

I bought a wrist brace when I got my prescription filled. It's one reason why I have been able to post a bit today.
