So there is a new shop down town Keene, NH (a college town) named "PHAT Stuff." A lady owns it. She sells ceramic pipes and drug stuff for smoking marijuana and stuff and also sells so called "adult material". So I asked why the name "PHAT Stuff". One of the teenagers told me, "Pretty Hot and Tempting!" So he calls his girl friend PHAT. On Sunday, I challenged our people every time they drive by or walk by to pray that God closes this business. What other new words do I need to learn????

Thanks for the information. I've heard that term many times but didn't realize it was an acronym. I assumed it was like "bad".

http://www.internetslang.com/ has whole lists of new words/acronyms.

Some years ago an "adult" store opened here in Olathe. Because of the damage this place was likely to cause to families in our community, our pastor urged us to pray for its economic ruin. Several weeks later a big storm came though town and blew part of the the roof off our Christian bookstore just down the street from the new adult store. Go figure:smile:

Now, that is weird!

Anyway, this is the first I knew that PHAT was an acronym, too ... since there's much obesity going on these days, I tho't they just found a bit nicer way (euphemistically) to mention "fat." Further behind the times than I realized, not knowing that was "Pretty Hot & Tempting." Ho-hum.

On Northbound I-35E coming into Dallas, in the town of Lancaster there's a big yellow billboard, featuring a Cucumber with a face on one end. There's a HORRIFIED look on the Cucumber's face.

The Billboard reads: "Stop Vegetable Abuse"!!

It's an advertisement for an "Adult Paraphernalia" shop related to the "Condoms to go" chain.

A Sign of the times.

I'm curious as to how an adult novelty store could cause damage to families.

I've never been in the store in question, but something in me is very disappointed that a pastor would urge a congregation to pray curses down on a law-abiding local business.
