Be not dismayed whate’er betide;
God will take care of you.
Beneath His wings of love abide;
God will take care of you.
Refrain
God will take care of you,
Thro’ every day, o’er all the way.
He will take care of you;
God will take care of you.
Thro’ days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you.
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you.
All you may need He will provide;
God will take care of you.
Nothing you ask will be denied;
God will take care of you.
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you.
Lean, weary one, upon His breast;
God will take care of you.

Re: Today's hymn
Early this year I decided to use our hymnal, “Sing to the Lord” as a portion of my daily devotions. And each morning - okay, most mornings - I “confirm” the lyrics, author, copyright date, correct spelling and punctuation of as many as six hymns.
As of yesterday morning I had checked 410 hymns this year. Being the curious one, within the past half hour I looked up my notes for today’s hymn: God Will Take Care of You. I found it interesting that I checked that hymn on January 19, 2010 at 4:55 a.m. and it was at that moment 28 degrees on our patio. (We have an outdoor-indoor thermometer.) Why record the time and temp? Because I’m weird. And old.
But a very important part/portion of that self-assigned task each morning is to check out the scriptural reference for each hymn. And most morning’s I make certain I have underlined and dated that wonderful promise or passage of scripture. And here’s that day’s verse and the “justification” for this note today:
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Did you catch those final four words?
May I please put them in all caps for emphasis?
HE CARES FOR YOU!
He really, really does.
You can “take that to the bank.”
Have a wonderful Wednesday in HIM.

I forget which TV show where I saw this but some well known woman said that her mother-in-law would sing this to her husband [as a kid] every night as a lullaby. He appreciated it so much she was inspired to do the same for their own kids.

I am relying on His care as I have been down with a severe case of urinary track invection. If I am not better by morning I will be calling back to doctors trusting that God will guide them to a real cure. I have been taking the antibiotics that were prescribed so far there has been no improvement.
