Answer: The first one is genuine. The second one is a paraphrase of how we use/abuse this scripture to recruit people to fill 'slots' in a local church.

Especially this verse I never have read. It sounds a bit uncomfortable.

It is common in a dysfunctional organization for the leaders to complain about a lack of commitment and the members to complain about a lack of leadership.

If you can't imagine how the Matthew passage could be abused in such a situation, count yourself fortunate.
