Last night I witnessed the high school graduation of my oldest daughter. She graduated with honors and will be pursuing a pastoral ministry degree. I'm so very proud of her and how she is allowing God to work in her life. :smilies0262:

I didn't turn into a bascket case, thankfully, but i did cry...beginning before we ever left the house and including after the party. I'm such a softy! (Hey...i cry at those holiday Folgers and Hallmark commercials). It seems like it was just yesterday she arrived...now the "leaving" has begun. Am I ready for this?? I'm not sure.

Congratulations Tim. I'm not much of a cryer at all, but I baptized my oldest daughter Sunday and it just about wrecked me. I know what you're talking about. Just wait 'til we have to walk them down the aisle.

For me, these milestones are so significant not because it guarantees anything in the future (although I wish it did), but that it gives me an overwhelming sense of well-being and "so-far-so-good." I treasure those moments.

Congratulations!

(I can relate as it was five years that I posted an extremely similar post: daughter, honors, off to pursue ministry degree...)
