I use Outlook 2003 on my laptop for emails etc. When I am home using my wireless network, the Outlook will send and receive email with no problem. When I am on another wireless network, such as the motel I am in now, Outlook will send but not receive my email.

Does anyone know why and if there is a solution? Do I have to wait until I get home to download my email?

Michael,

If it was the other way around, I'd understand completely. But this one puzzles me. You need to help us here. What is the error message you get when trying to download email?

Many hotels block outgoing email from programs like Outlook, but I have never experienced the inability to download.

Here is the message I receive:

Task 'The Pastors Institute - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

This is even more strange since I do not have this problem at home, where I also use a wireless broadband. Further, I can send messages, but I cannot receive. I do know there are are some for downloading, because I check the webmail. For instance, there are about 8 messages waiting for download.
