New Software Features include:
Multi-Quote -- quote more than one person from a thread in your reply. (http://files.vbulletin.com/3.6/multiquote-k.png)
Quotes are linked -- when a person is quoted, a link to their original post is automatically added
Buddy and Ignore List Editor has been upgraded (http://files.vbulletin.com/3.6/markforumread.png)
When you receive notification of a private message, the text will be included in the email (there are other email enchantments)
Over-sized attachments are now automatically resized down
Thread sorting based on forum (http://files.vbulletin.com/3.6/forumsorting.png)
Search results show both threads and individual posts
You can now add a small photo to your signature (http://files.vbulletin.com/3.6/sigperms-upload-sigpic.png)
RSS Field upgrade (http://files.vbulletin.com/3.6/rssposter-manager.png)
Supposedly future upgrades will be easier to install -- whew!
An email is generated when a person's private message quota is being reached
---this is about half of the updates -- most of the others are moderator specific.

Scott, I have added a signature picture, within the limits of the software (though that should not matter if "Over-sized attachments are now automatically resized down" is true) but I don't see a picture.
Edited: I found it! You need to insert the "sigpic" code in the signature, it is not enough to upload a picture

So there's now an RSS feed for each forum?
How do we use it?

Just to clarify (because it took me a minute to figure it out!), the "sigpic" code looks like this:
(SIGPIC)(/SIGPIC)
with the "(" replaced by "[" amd ")" by "]".
I wonder if the pic can be a link...? I'll try that next.

Yep. You can make it a link.

The upgrade seems to have done something new with subscriptions. I now seem to be getting e-mails notifying me of every new post to any thread to which I have contributed. I don't want or need the e-mail notifications; I check NazNet every day anyway. It never gave me those e-mails before. How do I stop them?
Brad
P.S. Never mind; I found it. Under "User CP", you go to "Edit Options", and down a little ways you come to a box that lets you choose how and whether to receive e-mail notification of subscibed threads. Apparently, "daily e-mail notification" is the default setting. I just changed it to "no e-mail notification". That should fix it.

Don't get subscriptions, but the upgrade seems to have wiped out text preferences. 'Just realized after posting a few that I had plain black, & not the same font. No biggie ... I'll just go change it back, now that I realized it. ;)

OK, now that I've checked "options," and found "comic sans MS" font and the color "teal" were still checked, not sure why recent posts would then be in a different black font. Let's see if this comes out according to my options, now that I've done the "save options" again. Hmmmmmmm .......
NOPE ... still came out the same ... a different black font. Not sure what's up ............... oh, well. Won't worry about it now. ;)

I've been working on the font deal - not sure if I have it fixed or not.

Thanks, Scott! And, awww, what a cute signature pic you have ... Sarah & her little brother, Matthew (peeked in my NazNet pictures file ;)) Anyway, it's so cute, grandpaw! ;)
EDIT: Hey, it's already fixed! This came out with the right font & color. Thanks again, Scott! ;)

I think the font deal is working again.
I just now added the photo -- Hans inspired me with his nice one, and I thought I would try it with Sarah and Matthew's eyes. I think it looks pretty good!

Must've been on-line ... Rev Quick-Draw ... quoted my "I forgot!" post before I could quick find a picture w/the names on it, and edit my post. :p

Yes it does! I've noticed the size limitations do require a special photograph. The sunset example is a good one, yours is great too!

Just noticed a new button on every post that says something like "Multi-Quote this Post". I noticed that the icon link appears to be incorrect (no icon displayed, only the missing image (red X) is there). And, clicking the button does nothing, or seems to not do anything. Is this a new feature being worked on?
At least I think it is new..don't recall it from before.

I moved the question to this thread about the forum software upgrades. I have just finished adding the icon to the styles that were missing it. The multiquote icon appeared on most styles, but not all.
And it does work. If you want to quote multiple people in a thread you just click on the mult-quote icon on each message you want to quote before clicking on the "post" button -- you will find all their messages quoted in yours. Give it a try, it is pretty handy.

RSS Field upgrade (http://files.vbulletin.com/3.6/rssposter-manager.png)
I added it to my homepage (Google). Is it normal for the threads to be a bit behind (about 1.5-2 hours, as far as I can tell...)?

Thanks Scott....I see now, with the new Icon, it colors it once it is selected... I only included Jeremy's post to see this work. Thanks!
(It obviously did not work here, I tried the Quick Reply button)

Ahh...now I see..you cant use the quick post to do it...now it makes alot more sense.

It is a pretty cool feature! I probably need to work on the styles a bit -- I added several right when the forum was initiated and I really didn't know what I was doing. I think I can combine several of them so that future upgrades will automatically update the styles as well.
I generally use "greenish" myself, but the last couple of days I have been using the dial up one. I like it too!
