I just got the obituary for one of my wife's cousins and it included: "One of his fondest periods was the time spent designing and building the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington's Cascade Mountains."
Have any of you done any hiking on that trail segment?
(Edited to say that this is my first "accidental-post-on-the-wrong-forum" since the crash. If one of you who is capable would like to move this to general forum that would be great.)

Wes Smith and I have hiked the section of the PCT that runs through the Goat Rocks Wilderness. Many people say that this is the most stunning portion of the trail.

The PCT also crosses Chinook Pass. Linda and I have hiked there. The first 16 pictures of this album are from Chinook Pass. http://picasaweb.google.com/shutterbug.dave/HikeFiveStatesInFourDays#
