My sister lives in San Francisco Bay..I live in San Diego..we met
last week half way for both of us..great memories created
the only downside is i had to drive through LA to reach BIG SUR
the pelicans almost posed for me..we browsed art shops and searched
for rocks and sand dollors on the beach, dined on the catch of the day
and enjoyed a lovely spa at the motel...enjoy

It's been many years since I was at Big Sur.... wish I could make it there soon! The reality is that life keeps happening while I make other plans... :>(

I especially like the last photo...

I agree that the last picture is special... the one thing I don't care for about it is it's slightly tilted - which is an easy fix. The content of this picture make me want to just climb in the car and head there!

Judy, You are one of a few photographers that inspire me on a regular basis!

I am not sure if the photo you refer to as tilted is the image of the sand dune and MORRO ROCK??
If so..Morro Rock has a beach and the light off the waves and the slight beginning of the incoming fog
seem to displace Morro Rock..I wish I had spent more time photographing the Rock from this angle.
Thank you Jon and Thomas for your encouragement., it really means a lot to me ..

I named the sitting pelican Grumpy
his expression re minds me of a friend who did a lot of thinking yet never smiled

Judy,

I was referring to the last picture of the town and harbor in the foreground.
