I found this book while I was looking through the Kindle books which are free for a limited time. It sounded interesting, so I downloaded it.
Like many of the people who have written reviews about the book, I have laughed out loud in public while reading this book. And, like many of those same reviewers, I have been deeply challenged by the content.
The book is a novel in which the author is a Christian who unwittingly has settled for a relationship with his "imaginary Jesus." He sets out to find the "real Jesus" and along the way confronts many other imaginary Jesuses. I recognize many of those fakes in my own life, and at the same time I'm laughing, I'm also finding myself seeking to better know the real Jesus in my life.
As I mentioned, it's free for the Kindle reader for a limited time.
