Just discovered that Box.net is offering 50GB of storage free for the next few days (10/31/11). But you have to open an account via your phone or tablet device to get that space. If you open your account online, it'll only give you 10GB.
Once you open the account on your phone you can access it from your desktop. But the phone part is necessary to getting the large size.
Once this offer expires, I noticed that CX.com is offering 10GB free as an ongoing offer.

I have had a box.net account for several years (along with several others). I just recently went to the paid version of drop box becuase it is the most seamless.

Yes, I tried something else and it was strange trying to even configure it so it would work! Symform think it was ... you were supposed to do this, that & the other ... and then it said you didn't "volunteer" (or whatever word it used) enough of your own HD space to it ~~ huh? We need back-up *for* things on that HD! But, anyway, I tried to do what they said, and it kept refusing to acknowledge that I'd tried to "give/lend" it some space, so quit.
Definitely, Dropbox seems the easiest to work with ... wonder if these others tend to be more like Dropbox or like Symform. Have to look, I guess. Thanks.

Edit: elim box.net questions; Had upload trouble, so closed it right after trying to open it. Maybe it was just me (having a hard time @ the moment).

I find that Dropbox works in an amazingly easy fashion, on both my Macs and my (rather my wife's) PC. Seamless seems to be the right word, even when continents apart.

I've had a box.net account that I've not used. Today they upgraded my account to 50 gig storage. I wish it was as easy to use as Dropbox, but to me Dropbox is still the winner. However, with all that free space, I may decide to put some of it to use. Here's a fairly easy upload solution: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/upload-files-awesome-boxnet-windows-explorer/
