Thank you! Ann, the card is the picture of a newly wed couple coming out of the church. It is by Anton Pieck, he was Dutch artist who was renowned for painting old fashioned sceneries. Just do a Google search for images and the name "Anton Pieck" and you'll see what I mean.
We like the atmosphere, so that's why we chose it. On the flipside, there was the announcement of the wedding, the time and place etc.

Well, we both got what we call a "garden set", consisting of a table and four chairs. The frame is aluminium, the rest is teak. I've been looking for a picture but could not find an exact match. Anyway, it looks like the picture below, but not exactly.

Perhaps I don't quite understand, but we both celebrated 25 years, so we both got a present from the children, my mom and our brothers and sisters.
And we went out for dinner (which we rarely do) on Wednesday, celebrating our anniversary and Hannie's 49th birthday on 8/8. That's it!
As to flowers, I never give them on designated days, I just hate that. I bought her flowers 2 weeks ago, when she didn't expect them, and she could enjoy them, for people buy her flowers for her birthday and we got some yesterday as well, so the house is still full of flowers anyway. As it usually is around her birthday.

looks great but of course I look forward to YOUR pics of the real thing with you two in it :basic05
in regards to some of us asking what you got her...it's a tradition to get the WIFE something silver for the 25th anniversary. it's silly for sure, but that is tradition. I like the fact that you each got something for each other together :basic03

there are of course millions of links on the same line.

You'll have to wait, the weather is terrible at the moment. Raining cats and dogs. But you'll get the picture!
And thanks for explaining! We don't have that tradition, at least I never heard of it.

Here you go! The reflection of sunlight is playing tricks, the table is actually the same as the chairs. And of course we have 4 chairs, but I trust you'll believe the other two are pretty much the same :basic05

OHHHH! The pictures are so sweet! But, guess what? In a good marriage, it gets sweeter as the years go by. That is the next thing to agape love, isn't it?

Also, Happy Birthday to Hannie! You have a real treasure in her.
