We had such an awesome Sunday morning that I wanted to share here on NazNet.

We had special music this morning. It was the Gospel Choir from a Texas State prison that is around 30 miles from here. This choir is the only traveling choir in the entire Texas system and they are only allowed to go out once a month.

The style was black gospel and the singers and musicians are quite talented.

Their testimonies were just great and our people were very blessed by the service.

All in all it was an unforgetable reminder of God's grace. We are already working on having them back next year!

That sounds wonderful! Dwayne was a bi-vocational and counseled prisoners for years.

I love to hear those people sing! We went to Bible College in Cincinnati and worked at an inner city mission. I have many times stood outside one of their churches and listened to them sing! Maybe we need some of their enthusiasm!

That is awesome, Scott. Thanks for sharing. It's good to hear of God's work in other places.

how wonderful! I am a nut about music that glorifies God so I know I would have loved it! in the black gospel genre my faves are Kirk Franklin and MaryMary. talk about getting your praise on!
on Monday nites I attend a christian ladies meeting that is women getting out of prison. I have never been to prison but I cherish that meeting as if I was visiting my sisters home! the hope and joy in their lives is so addictive :basic05
