What is your worst fault?? and does this continue to occur?

Questions worthy of pondering

I was reviewing some photos and came across these pics Marilyn took on a cold Feb night in OKC when i locked Marilyn Lawson
our Canadian Naznetter (who was my house guest) and I out of my car. This happened on two separate occassions within two days. I have been accused by Dana from Arizona of planning such escapades to entertain my out of town guest.:fav18 The first two pics were when my locked car was opened by AAA in Oklahoma City and the guy disabled the electronics..so to retrieve the keys from the trunk..(where they were currently residing)..i crawled thru the back seat, and came out the trunk..with said keys..and all was well with the world!!

the last three photos where taken when the AAA guy and the Dallas police were opening my car..note the graffiti ..Marilyn and I were downtown Dallas on a strategic photo "stake-out"

this indeed was a true Kodak moment..much akin to the "Star -Gazing" epilouge involving Marsha Gupton, lovely Mama Gupton and Edith Thurmond on a lonely, lonely Oklahoma country road when we were enjoying "star-gazing" into our lovely Oklahoma sky in the middle of a clear star-speckled night. Almost makes you wish you had been there???

of this episode we have no photos..just hilarious memories..of four ladies and a young man (who stopped to jump my car battery) and advised me to "Change the decal (OKLAHOMA SOONER) on my car as i was an embarassment to the University of Oklahoma.!:basic04
This was his remark he made as he was putting the jumper cables away, after discovering the battery was fine, and that engine would not start as the car was in the wrong gear!

BTW ...In a couple of weeks I will be hosting Mildred Hamner (Alabama Nazetter) in my home

Do you suppose we should have a prayer chain started now to insure Mildred's saftey??:gen02

There will be ample opportunity for magic moments and ggggreat memories to accumulate!! as we will be cheering the Sooners at our opening season game in the larger than life OU Stadium..at least I will cheer the SOONERS..Mildred is an AVID ALABAMA supporter and dearly loves her UAB Alma Mater.

Oh Mildred!! Wear protective covering. By all means, take an atlas!!! DO NOT LET JUDY HOVER OVER CLIFFS MAKING PICTURES.

But I have a wonderful memory of tomato bisque soup, a great salad and bread. So yummy. Thank you for Judy for your hospitality a few years ago.

A few years ago my Mother and I were driving to Albuquerque, NM for me to attend a convention. Judy graciously allowed us to stay overnight at her home both in going out to NM and in returning. What was amazing about this was that Judy had not even seen me prior to this trip; yet she allowed us to stay in her home when she was not there. Judy, Thank you!

Judy:

Judy, honey, my friend -- you and I should not travel together unless we have extra keys hanging around our necks.

Just this week I was at Kohls shopping for work clothes and bought some nice things on sale. Went to the checkout counter and paid for them. Left the store --

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...........no car keys.

Since I had been in three dressing rooms, I had to go to all three.

There were people in two of them. I knocked gently on the door and said, "Pardon me, but do you see keys in there?"

Found them in the third dressing room.

You see, I think we have some of the same sickness, Judy.

LOL

Have fun with MILDRED!!!

I can relate........................unfortunately.

I wish I had the money I have
paid locksmiths to open a locked car door.

Well, guess I'm a member of the "key club." I've been carrying keys around in my right hand, having absentmindedly picked them up to go somewhere, and then -- not even noticing that -- been scrounging around under cushions, etc, for them with my left hand. Talk about not letting the left hand knowing what the right hand is doing! duh!

Do you suppose we should have a prayer chain started now to insure Mildred's saftey??:gen02

Prayer chain!? Uh, extra keys might easier unlock said doors, should Judy's main keys get locked inside. Another idea, Judy? Well, having even been known in the past -- as I've read here recently re someone else -- to have locked my keys in my car, distracted by something before I even got it turned off, here's something I did going from AZ to MI alone. I took one extra door key, put it on a nice heavy chain (ball chain), and kept that around my neck. Wasn't going to count on the extra keys in my purse to get me out of some jam ... I've had extras before, and yet managed to lock both sets in the car ... the ones in the ignition and the ones in my purse, because I've climbed out leaving my purse behind before, too. FUN, huh?

Anyway, you and Mildred have fun while she's in town ... even if you have all sorts of extra keys (hey, give a set to Margaret to carry, too, while she's there!), you'll find something interesting/funny to report, we can bet. ;)

Judy, Dwayne has had this problem for years. Now, he carries a set of keys in both pants pockets. I have locked myself out of a car once.

I'm relieved my fiancee has never visited this site. I feel I can freely confess this horrible fault here.:basic02
