Well nothing really to report, counselling has ended, and hospital doc signed me off to my own doc. Hospital doc reports missions medical advisors havent asked him for a report!? States way things have gone didnt help me. Noo, not sniping at anyone, just seems a continuing mess.

I don't understand, "States way things have gone didn't help me." Please explain.
I have been thinking of you this week with all of the news about London.

not answering for Ian of course, but I could cite several examples but here is a personal one
said military man has signs of major depression (he worked in a missile silo) and is ordered to psychiatric counselling. that counselling leads to discharge from military with no follow up. said ex military man tries to commit suicide :basic04 :basic04 thankfully God and a good wife intervenes.
when your company basically leaves you to the wolves when things get tough it's rough. how are you supposed to recover?
I know the few times I have had to seek any type of medical treatment when I was employed, I sought it outside my companys medical. most of the work comp doctors I have had interaction with did NOT have my welfare in mind. and most didn't have the companys welfare in mind too. it's sad, but a fact of life.
I do want to add a disclaimer that Publix is not one of the companys I would gripe about. they truly do follow through.

I don't know how workers comp works in Europe but here alot of the times they try to keep you as sick as long as they can continue to receive money for you being sick. sometimes you have to just say whoa, stop it here and either get back to where you were, or move on. once you get into the web of disability it's really hard to get out of it.
prayers continue here

May I be personal and ask if you have any income at all? Your problem is a big mystery.

Ian,
I am real sorry to hear about your ongoing struggle. As I have come to know you from your posts and our one wonderful day (probably one of the most fun days of my life) in London I understand that you are a deeply committed loving individual. You never give your self but completely to an individual or a cause. You are someone that laughs easily, loves deeply, and thinks broadly. You don’t deserve this. I have two ideas that may be of some solace to you. The one is that our great and wonderful Saviour spoke to Paul in the middle of his darkest moments and said, “my grace is sufficient for you.” In my own “darkest hour” I had a discussion with our Lord and told him that was either true for me in my moments of despair or it wasn’t true for anyone. It became for me my life phrase, “God’s love must be enough.” The other of less significance, but only slightly, is Only 96 days to the first Ashes test here in Brisbane. There are 40,000 pommies making the antipodean tour, I believe nearly 200 000 seats have been sold for the first test. This may be the greatest cricket series for a quarter century, next to the last one in England of course.

What Doctor said was, that in his view, mission moving me off origenal work, and all the further delays caused in getting back to any work, was a main source of stretching out depressive condition.

Well Ian that would be quite a triumph if you did, you won't of course :) ,
Good old Darryl Hair hey, trust an aussie to be at the centre of the world falling apart. He did the right thing of course but I doubt he will ever umpire again.
