I'm planning a new quilt for a newly graduated young lady and another for a friend with a new grand baby on the way. I'm also trying to reach my 100 pound loss in 1 year, 97 pounds with 3 pounds to loose by 06/09/2010.

Oops, sorry ladies. I saw the post and posted without loooking at the Forum. I shall now retreat with an embarrassed face shining as brightly as Rudolph's nose. At least I didn't ask, "16 days since what?"

It has been awhile since I have posted on Naz Net. I guess I have been on Facebook to much.
Time has seemed to go quickly by. I can't believe it will be a year next week since my Mom passed.
Do have a three day weekend. Go back to work on June 1st.

I understood the title. This forum is very quiet at times. I just got back from spending the weekend at Pickwick Landing State Park down on the Tennessee/Mississippi state line on the Tennessee River. We had a view of the River and went on a riverboat cruise. On the other side of the river from where we were are mansions. I asked the waitress at the restaurnat at the inn what type of person has a mansion on the Tennessee River. She said she heard one was owned by country music singer Alan Jackson. It was a nice weekend.

I recently went to my college graduating class - 50th Anniversary, have gone to a couple funerals (my husband's relatives), a graduation (granddaughter), graduation party, and reunion. I could have gone to several more graduation partys but didn't make it. I listed some things on eBay for free. They had a free listing week. I sold a few things and now I have to package them and mail them. Things may or may not quiet down some now. Summer is a busy but good time. Next will be birthday, campmeeting, 4th of July, etc.

For the past month I've been preoccupied with finishing up a school year and moving with RYan to New Jersey. I've almost got our house set up and now I've been finding myself with a bit of free time to post on NN. When things get busy in my life, usually my internet time is the first thing to go.
My summer challenge: find a teaching job in Delaware, read 10 classic books, cook at least three new things.

Well, just saw this thread -- thought I'd chime in, too.....
Went to see Judy in San Diego earlier in the spring (April), then went to West Virginia to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday with the entire family (surprise party) for a few days, then to San Diego again to attend graduation at PLNU (Tyler's girlfriend Ema), and then spent a few days in Phoenix visiting Tyler -- it's been nice to be home again! We missed about 6 weeks of church, I think!!
I'll be going to San Diego again sometime in August, I think......
Lindsey is going to college in Moberly, Missouri, in January -- I'm gearing up to be prepared for that!!! Seems like I have 6 months before that happens, but you know, that time will go by FAST!!
Changes are happening at my work, as well. I just got a new account for my business, which is good. One of my clients is making some changes and has offered me a job in his office.......I'm having to think about that one. Good thing is that I have a few months before I have to make a definite decision about it. I'd appreciate your prayers on that matter........
Other than that......life is still good and everyone is healthy.

Here, for your heat exhaustion: :smilies0231::smilies0231::smilies0231::smilies023 1:You'd have to call someone to carry me then. Seriously, at one point in Hamilton I very sick from heat exhaustion and dehydration. I had visions of CNN at home reporting the death of an american woman who collapsed and died in Bermuda. It was bad. But thankfully, after much prayer, I found a place to feed and water me.

Glad you came home OK, Susan. Didn't realize it was this bad, until you explained. Sorry if we made light of it, not knowing the seriousness/extent of it.

Only if it is a DRY heat -- I can't handle the humidity. I LOVE the heat in Arizona, but I can't physically handle the humidity AND high temps. The two do not mix well for me.

Gina, it is Central Christian College of the Bible. That's where Lindsey will finish out her degree. She has gone 2 years in Arizona and will finish her bachelor's degree in CCCB.

No, it was very humid heat. High dew point, high humidity and high UV index. Only the actual temp was low.

I thought it was interesting that while I was suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion, one of the readings for the day at the Anglican Church I went to was from Psalm 32:4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer.
