What's all this "more importantly" stuff? The only point of importance is that the number 1 team remains there.

Next Saturday, however, I will most definitely be sweating bullets!

Those who don't know OSU (Ohio version) is THE Ohio State University.

Paul Whitaker (PhD 1988)

My other degree MS is from the Other OSU - Oklahoma State University.

I must say that I am impressed with the coaches of all three schools.

However, having grown up in Oklahoma - I root for OU when they are not playing OSU (Ohio and Oklahoma). My football allegiances were burned into this old noggin back during the days of Wilkinson, Vessels, McDonald, etc.

Carol,

If we can beat Texas next Saturday (I wish they were in the Horseshoe instead of down South), we've got a great chance to go all the way...again!

Tonight after church, a guy (who is a fan of those other people you-know-where) mentioned that OSU will get blown out of the water by Texas "just like last year." Huh? I said that I didn't think that a few point loss in the last seconds of the game last season would be considered "blown out of the water!" He backed down because he was seriously outnumbered! Ha! :) Also, I don't see Michigan with Texas on their schedule either.

I'm nervous...but those people down in Texas should be nervous too! I can't wait until the last seconds have ticked off the clock...hopefully with a Buckeye win!

I just wanted to see if the signature came out right.

Hey Cindi

After church tonight several of us from Wrightview church went to the local Wendys in Fairborn and low and behold they were serving Brutus Burgers and Buckeye Bites for desert. Way Too Cool. That may be the food of choice next Saturday at our house during game time.

Sorry Mark, but your signature appears to be some strange Rorschach Ink Blot. You might want to take it off before people start to interpret what that oddly shaped orange blob means!

Peace...:)...not really!

This afternoon, a friend who lives in Illinois, called me from Texas where she is vacationing with her family. She was excited about everything in Dallas and was almost like a little girl in a candy store. She kept commenting on the Spirit that the Texas people exhibit. She even commented that she might enjoy living in Texas because there were so many pluses there, even mentioning their wonderful football team. She has definitely been hooked by those Horns but in a different way than Ohio State will be next week. I'm with her on all this Texas 'stuff,' but do like Chicago very much, too!

Cyndi, Mark's signature photo is very easy to understand; it is shorthand for Texas Longhorns!

Posted by a former Texan who enjoys your Ohio State spirit very much!

"Just wanna be a blessing,"
(thanks to Brad, a just-barely-former Texan)

Edith,

Thanks for your post. I really do have a good time with football, it's the one crazy fun thing I can joke about in my crazy stressful life! Ha!
