Vacation starts tomorrow. We fly from Portland to Seattle tomorrow evening. Then we catch the red-eye special for an all night trip to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. We depart on Princess on Saturday afternoon. Oooh la la! Our only previous cruise was the same trip about 12 years ago. We were so pleased with Princess and the route that we wanted to do it all over again.
And, by the way, for those who may be interested, we booked this cruise through Alaska Airlines cruises. Twelve years ago, we had a nice room with a port hole view. We were a bit nervous because my wife has clastraphobia (sp?). The cost back then was around $4,000 for the two of us. This time, due to the early booking, we get a room with a patio and all the other benefits for a total of $1,500.00 ($750 each). Isn't that something. We are using air miles to pay for the air fare. Pretty reasonable vacation!
