NO, not cold hearted...
Like it could be 100 degrees out and still the blanket is out.
Is it a gender issue? A blood thinnerer thingy?
Whatever it is, it drives me nuts!!!

I am afraid I can't answer that question for you at this time. Check back in a year or 2...

I think its a body temperature and we all are different. Plus age factors in. Now, I am hot all the time. while on the other hand, my mother is ALWAYS cold!!!

Well, I kick the covers off, when Dwayne has them on him. We are both 67 years of age. He weighs over 200 pounds, and I weigh around 145 pounds.
What is the answer to that? I run a ceiling fan over the bed, while he covers up. Later in the night, I cover to my waist, but have to remove the cover later. It is usually just my feet that are cold, then.

Nope. In our house it's usually me who is kicking off the covers.

I think it is a hormonal thing. I used to be cold a lot. However, once Menopause hit, I was rarely cold. Warren is ofter colder than I am now. A lot of my older friends are usually hot.

Don't have a clue for we almost never sleep in the same bed.

It's the other way around at our house. I can be "melting" while Paul is bundled good enough to face the arctic snow.
My solutions
1. do NOT share covers
2. have a king size bed so that the two climates don't interfer with each other

Fortunately my wife and I are fairly close in the way we feel temprature but when it comes to covers she has to have one foot out and I have to have both feet covered - always, all the time. I cannot sleep no matter how hot if both my feet are not under covers.

Oh, Roland! You had me LOL and LOL again. What I need to know, as I still sit here LOL, is what on earth it was that crawled in bed with you when you were a kid (if indeed something did; if not, hmmmm?) and nibbled on your toes that you just cannot abide your feet being uncovered!? That's a good one ............... seriously (but it still is funny). :basic05

Now you have me laughing Gina, that is a very funny way of looking at it and I had never thought of it in the form of a phobic response. I actually just need the weight on my feet, I have no idea why. Now I think I must have been kidnapped in some repressed memory experience and had something horrible done to my toes

Same here!! I thought I was the only one who had to have a foot out!! HA HA
I think it is a claustrophobia issue for me.......I feel confined if both feet are covered in blankets. I have to have one foot exposed, no matter if it is zero degrees!! LOL

Actually, my husband is somewhat like that......he has the covers up to his chin, no matter how warm it is!!! We complement one another quite well -- I don't need covers, so he can have all of them!! We never fight over covers at our house because I usually don't want covers and he ALWAYS does!!!
The only thing I complain about it how hard it is to make the bed -- because all of the covers end up on his side every night!! LOL

Dana, what do you mean, "zero degrees"!? When is the last time you experienced that, living where you do, eh? :p
And Roland, I know ... I know!! You abhorred that little game when you were a kid that starts out like this: "This little piggy went to market ...." So you wanted to give no one a chance to try that with your toes while you were asleep! HA! :basic05
