Guys
I was wondering how many users there are in total on the old Naznet board, and how many registered users do you guys consider being enough to switch completely to the new board?
Thanks
Garth

I don't know about the last question, that is up to Dave, but I can tell you there are a little over 600 people registered on the old forum.

But we will make a decision soon won't we?
I can't keep coming to all these forums to check out what is being discussed.

I don't think the number of people who register has much impact on the decision.
The important issue is whether or not the people who register like the new software. I won't put much weight on the opinion of those who don't even try the new software, but I realize that quite a few are checking it out as "guests."
We won't make a decision until Scott is back from vacation and has had some time to work with the technical side of the software.
I participate on another board (hiking forum) that has more than 6,000 registered members. The number of people who actually post on any given day is about the same as NazNet. So, I don't consider the number of people who are registered to be very significant. I do consider the number of people who actually participate.
By the way, this software allows us to actually know how many different people (actually how many different computers) have signed on. The old software only counted the number who posted. A lot more people read NazNet than actually post.

Am I correct, you do not like to see a pretty old thread on top?

On the contrary, one of the reasons for the change to this software was the option to revive an old thread.
