Thanks Marsha for this reminder..i needed this reminder
I have been repeating the verse in
Psalms 27: 13
I would have despaired unless I had believed to see
the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living"
To remind myself of the faithness of God in and on my life
and also the faithfulness and the goodness of the Lord in
the lives of my daughter and my son
Judy
I also love the pic..could not view your photos from Lake Taho

Sometimes when I am reading the book of Isaiah, I am overwhelmed with the vision of God he was able to receive and share.
I love this verse because it reminds us that peace comes not from outward silence (although a silent spot can help us get in touch with God) but from an inward focus on God.
How do busy women keep their minds "stayed on God".

I think my first overwhelming encounter with true true peace came the night I was diagnosed with cancer. I got home and laid down and prayed "Lord, I can't do this alone, please don't leave me". And the most calm, peaceful, overwhelming sense of peace came over me. Throughout the ordeal, I had "moments" of stress but overall - I remained at peace through everything. I KNOW that came from God!

Like my husband often says in his sermons, there is no peace without surrender.
