All of the above. As well as peanut butter and honey sandwhiches (my comfort food).

I also have specific music CD's that I put on. John Michael Talbot ministers to my soul in a way that other music doesn't.

John Michael Talbots music also ministers to my soul
since Shannon's call last week i fall to sleep with his
album "A Simple Heart" playing

I also put on Christian melodies and sing with them
pray with them

God tells us that HE walks with us THOUGH the Valley

this is encouraging to realize that THROUGH means we
will not always abide in this place of despair

When I am in despair..a painful place to be, i litterally
cling to verses of scripture that encourage me in the
faithfulness of God

I also have a best friend that I can tell anything. She will let me rant and rave, cry, or whatever I'm feeling and she will feel it with me. She is a christian rock too.

this is also something that has/is helping me to cope today

at work..i need not search hard to find others who are walking
thorugh the valley of the shadow of despair
and focus my prayers and attention ..on their plight

so looking for someone who is hurting more than i am
is for the time being a distraction. Concentrating on someone else
is easing some of this overwhelming anxiety i have carried all week end

I also find a great deal of solace in talking with special friends of my
heart..however when I am vunerable, there are friends i have
to try and avoid ..just during times when my heart seems overwhelmed
as some people, and i know which ones, tend to live with the cup
of their lives half empty. These friends do not have a pattern that
lightens my load

so choosing carefully whom i open my heart to is important

The greatgrandmother of baby Stewart (the baby i asked you all
to pray for) is a wise friend who lives withh her cup half full, it is
usually running over

For 29 years she has listened and counseled and loved
when i need a friend
just now her plate is so full as baby Steward is still in NICU
and they have been in San Antonio for over a month..and still are
in San Antonio helping their grandaughter in this trying time of her life

such beautiful people!!

This is a photo of her and her precious husband..a salt -of-the-earth-couple

My answer is somewhat humorus and not very godly, I'm afraid. But I eat hagen daz (sp?) chocolate ice cream. Now this may indicate a deeply rooted personal problem, but that makes me feel good!!!

Well, I used to eat something. I have had to find other ways of "therapy" when I'm in despair. Fortunately for me this rarely happens. Many times, I go to take a nap.....I usually wake up with a new perspective on things.

We must have really been in distress when we were in Memphis. Remember Bennigan's late night runs?

And Miss Lindsey and her Nancy Drew mystery solving skills? (haha)

That's a PERFECT remedy, Marsha! And it's not indicative of a "personal problem"! Can't be, 'cause I do it too.

I love Hagen Daz but it is soooo expensive.

It's a rare treat for me.

i encourage my heart in the Lord
i remind my memory, and my heart of His faithness
in my life...of the paths we have walked together
and i sing and He walks with me and He talks with me
and He reminds me i am His own

and i do outlandish things..such as wash
ALL the woodwork with Murphy's Soap

scrub toilets

wash and iron

and i eat chocolate

Tomorrow at this time we will know..and i am believing for a virus
i feel encouraged right now

my house is clean, laundry washed and ironed and

all of the chocolate in the house has been devoured!
