Sometimes when I look at someone's profile, I see that they have been thanked or laughed with for "hidden content". If you don't mind me asking, what is this "hidden content"? I thought at first it might be a pastors-only forum, but that doesn't quite match the names involved. Is it the secret forum accessible only by witty and interesting people?

Sort of...
Actually there is a Naznet Host Forum where the hosts can get together and offer advice and suggestions with how to better run the forums and at times discuss issues as to whether we should keep a thread open or to close it. Some of the most exciting posts are the ones where we tell each other that we are going on vacation so others can keep track of the forums. Real exciting stuff. :smilies1722:

Marsha, we could let you in on that stuff. You just have to agree to serve as a host, and there are several who would relinquish their spots to you. Stu is right: most of those posts are interesting in only the least.

Marsha, there is indeed only a NazNet Host Forum that is restricted. We used to have a restricted forum that Dr. Jerry Porter used, but that seems to be gone.

You know, this is the first time I've noticed that we have no "thanks but no thanks" button. ;)

Oh, sure, you both say that, but I've heard laughter coming from behind that locked door. Makes me wonder what you all find so amusing. But I'm not nearly curious enough to sign the covenant agreement required for entry. Not even close. One of the most refreshing parts of NazNet for me is being strictly a consumer with no commitment or responsibility. Plus, it helps me maintain the self-deceptive stance that I can quit any time I want to.

So anyway, the mystery is solved and I can go on with life now. Carry on with your excellent work, ladies and gentlemen of the bench! I salute you.

Marsha

I just received notification for six thanks for "Hidden Content."

Any idea what this means?

You received thanks for a post you did in a forum that cannot be viewed by all users. They can't click on the thanks and read the message as they normally can.

All the content that was in the political discussion forum has been moved to a new location that requires you to opt in in order to view it. All posts that received laugh/thanks before those threads were moved are now listed as "hidden content" unless you opt in to the new forum.

In the past I have requested that some of my posts be removed. When you check my profile page you can still see the "thanks" I received but because the post no longer exists it is designated "hidden content."

Mike, I think it means you wrote a post that is NSFW

Found months later, just learned what this means. So, I now see David P was being funny in his reply to Mike S. Had no idea what it was until now. :smilies0150:
