One of my friends works for Thomas Nelson here in Nashville and emailed the following to me. I thought it might be of interest to the participants on this board.

Several months ago, Nelson Reference, in partnership with a technology company in Canada, began the development of the most premier bible search site on the web. Called eBible.com, it is the most advanced and user-friendly online bible search engine in the market. I don't want to ruin the fun by giving away too much information, so check it out. You'll find you can "bookmark" favorite verses, write personal "notes" for verses, and even share those with people you've invited into your own online study group or "community".

There's more to come, and I welcome any comments or suggestions you have. As many of us know, the Bible can be a massive and confusing book. Those of us in this project believe and pray that this site is a step toward helping reveal and deepen people's understanding of the world's most life-changing book.

Marsha,

Thomas Nelson has "outgrown" their large headquarters on Elm Hill Pike and they now take up 2 full floors in the building I work in near their headquarters. Anyway, to get to the 6th floor that they are on, you have to have a special badge even to "punch" that number on the elevator. Its rather annoying.

Anyway, so one day a bunch of us were on there and someone from the 6th floor got on and had to use their "card" to punch 6. Someone else said "What do you have up there that is so special that the rest of us can't see". The Thomas Nelson person jokingly said "Bibles". Then the other replied "Really you should not keep those under lock and key...the rest of the world needs them". ha ha

I doubt seriously they have bibles and it did kind of make a point about a religious organization being so secretive. My personal "guess" is that the have unpublished manuscripts of books up there and don't want them "walking off".

Cute!

I'll have to ask Sherrie about that. I have two friends that work for Thomas Nelson and both work at the Elm Hill Pike location.
