When I came home fro the hosp. with urosepsis, I spent 3 wks on an anitbioltic. Less than a week later, my temp. went back up and so I did another 10 days of antibiotic. I finished that last Friday. MY urine sample showed all clear this past Monday. Today my Tempt went to 101.7 and they found bacteria in my ruine again and my white blood count is twice what the high normal should be. So, I am back on antibiotics over the week end while they wait for the cultures of urine and blood to come back Monday. I feel really sick. When my doc said this particular type of bacteria is particularily hard to kill, he was not kidding. If my temp does not go down and stay down, or if it goes up, I am to head for the ER again---and I will probably be admitted again. I do not being a patient at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go back to the doc tomorrow for another uninalysis and CBC. So we shall see. If you think about it, I sure would appreciate your prayers. I am getting really tired of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure it must be very discouraging for you, William! Sometimes getting the proper treatment is for the best and it sometimes only comes from a longer stay in the hospital. My wife, "the nurse" tells me stories of how many patients want out too soon and the doctor obliges. Then a few days or weeks later, they are back in. The nurses many times know more than the doctor and can see the correct improvement day by day.

She also tells me that contrary to some, prayer does make a huge difference in the recovery process. She has seen it over and over in her 33 years as a nurse.

We will remember to pray for you William...also praying that the Lord will lift your spirits at this time and things will improve in God's timing!

Blessings, Bob W.

I sure would appreciate your prayers. I am getting really tired of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holding you up in prayer, brother.

I'm also trusting that you are treating this 3rd onslaught with the utmost seriousness that it requires.

Lord, we pray for your healing touch in this serious matter, that you would reveal the cause
of the infection to the physicians which will lead to a complete cure. We ask this in the
name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord, You know Bill and his health problems better than anyone else and You have the ability and power to heal him as You see fit. We trust that Your all sufficient grace and love will ease him through these days of painful discomfort and that in the days ahead he will come to know Your reason for allowing this to come upon him. Amen

With care and prayer, Jim

On Thurs. the doc put me on a different antibiotic than I have had, it seems to be working up to a point. My temp. at 3:30 AM today was actually normal for the first time since Thursday morning. I await the results of a urine and blood culture on Monday so that they know exactly what kind of antibiotic I need to kill this infection. I'm thankful we have such tests that can give a doc exactly the right answer for things like this.

Thank you all for you prayers. I'm looking forward to finally being able to get back on my feet. I went into my study at the church yesterday for aobut 90 minuntes. That proved to be all I could put in during one stretch with this infection in me. I'll go in today for a little while, but I know already that I'm not going to have enough strength to stay long.

Anyway, I'm thankful for the normal temp last night. I'll take again about noon to see how I am doing. I actually slept pretty well last night for some time.

William

I think the nurses on this board will back me up on this: Many times we tend to FEEL better before we are ACTUALLY better. Glad you were able to get in your study, even if only for 90 minutes. But think about staying down until you've beaten this thing completely. Taking a day too many of rest is better than coming back a day too soon.

Praises for the progress, still praying for your full recovery.

Bill,

I am so sorry that you are having these problems. I would vote with the suggestion that an extra day of rest is better than an extra day of illness. Take it as easy as you can. Having been in DeMotte recently, I have had a glimpse of your love and dedication to your congregation. I also know that they will surround you with love and care.

Praying that the results of the tests will lead to the right medication to get this problem solved. My love to Virginia and the folks at your church.

God Bless.
